Casita Natal Private Speakeasy
Just outside Mexico’s most important wine country, Valle de Guadalupe, “Casita” sits on a private ecological reserve within a 4,200 acre eco-community: Natal Comunidad
Purpose
After two years of studying the different sites through weekly camp-outs, developing an ever-evolving master plan and finally deciding upon a first project to kick off the eco-community, “Casita” was born. In front of an ancient oak forest, immersed in a field of prickly pears, “Casita” was our first intervention at Natal Comunidad’s 4,200 acre eco-community.
“Casita’s” purpose changed mid-construction.
Although it started as an off-grid cabin, within the first two weeks we understood that the project must serve our community of entrepreneurs rather than become “another rental.”
Back in 2020, our team didn’t have a formal space to gather & share.
Today, “Casita” is host to interdisciplinary activities ranging from mezcal tastings, live music sessions & camps to name a few. The pavilion became a space for all to enjoy.
